Here's the story: At my mom's suggestion, my dad and I took a trip to Amsterdam in August 2007. It was my father's first visit to Europe and my first time in Amsterdam, and it couldn't have gone better. Lovely weather, great museums, spectacular zoos, sublime pancakes, and all-around good times. So I pitched the idea of going to Germany together this summer, and the planning began.
As it turned out, early March fit our schedules better than any time during the summer, so we booked our tickets a few weeks ago and now we're two days from leaving. I'm thrilled to be heading to Berlin, with its artistic energy and modern design, and my dad is excited about all the historical sites. And now you can follow us on our travels. I hope to be able to post frequently, including at least a few of the innumerable photos we'll both be taking. But right now I have to go check the weather in Frankfurt...
